The
Hidden Sphere
(of Artistic Concerns) Cecil Orion

1) If mountains can be worn down to sand,
and stars can, in time, be extinguished,
how short, by comparison, is the life of our canvases
and clay!
2) Therefore, when we, as artists, focus our attention
on the Creative Harmony,
our lives will become an expression of harmony.
If, on the other hand, we focus our attention on the
history and technique of art,
our lives will become occupied with facts and techniques.
And again, if we focus our attention on the politics
and fashions of art,
we will occupy our selves with competition and market
interests.
These different interests yield different ways of living.
3) If our lives come to be about competition are we not,
then, always surrounded by enemies?
